Solution
A B2B marketplace for used spare parts and consumables based on a standard out-of-the-box ERP platform, topped with additional modules as required by the customer. The solution was delivered very quickly as it was based on out-of-the box components. The marketplace had these main features:
- An inventory catalog with detailed descriptions, prices, stock count and availability data at particular storage facilities. The location of available parts was easy to check on an online map
- Price lists with convenient selection tools, including an automated matching system and a search by selected parameters across the entire supplier base
- Online order and payment system
- Online document flow for contracts, invoices, specifications etc.
- Secure transactions
Result
In general, the product was similar to YandexMarket, but was customized for the industry specific features. It worked as a competitive marketplace for suppliers and buyers of used spare parts and consumables, enabling better value and faster for all parties. The marketplace could be monetized in different ways: its owner could charge fees for transactions and for listings.
In 2020, the marketplace underwent a major redesign, replacing standard ERP platform interface with a custom one. The new version was based on a single-page application model. The project is currently in progress, as new design and functional features are being added.
